if you choose engineering and you reach levl 450 you can train something that gives you +50 stamina (also for skinning +34 crit rating (?))

if ur tank like me, its useful to get mining cuz like rubino already explained, you get +50 stam. Also Eng belongs to mining and Eng is good for pvp cuz of all the gizmo's you can apply to your armor or summon
